I absolutely love magazines. I’ve tried to cut down on buying them as I’ve always had this nagging feeling that I should be spending my money on books or something for permanent or intellectually valued. Recently I’ve decided that’s it’s okay. Magazines aren’t bad.
Since coming to this conclusion I’ve been thinking in a bit more detail and the, actually not so recent, reviews of Monocle make for particularly interesting reading – Adam Greenfield and
Dan Hill’s being two of the most in depth although it’s impossible not to mention Rick Poynor’s in Eye.
Read of all of them and come to your own conclusion.
